Sweet Vacation

It’s December finally. That means it’s vacation time for most of us here in Brunei! Zean and I have planned our vacation since forever! In the end, we decided to have one in KL. It’s been quite a while I hadn’t been to KL. The last time I went there was in 1990. Once reaching there, Kak Hanis, Zean’s cousin, dropped us at the Sunway Pyramid. It was all about shopping, shopping and shopping in KL. It was tiring but just before leaving, we met Vince!! Man, isn’t he handsome!!! He was lost, just like us. Ironic!

The next day we went to Mid Valley and the 3rd day we shopped at the Pavilion, Sungei Wang Plaza and Bukit Bintang. At Pavilion, we spotted Jimmy Choo. Zean wanted to talk to him but he walked too fast! At Bukit Bintang, we witnessed a ‘live wrestling’ among the Arabs. It was a nightmare seeing them punching and kicking each other. We were just a few metres away and others were just watching. It’s a trauma really :( That night, Kak Hanis took us to the Up Town ~ we got quite cheap stuff there that night. The next morning, we went to Ikea, walked all the way to Ikano ~ and met Sham Kamikaze (we didn’t approach him coz he was busy shopping) and had dinner at The Curve. Next to our table was Shirley Samad, the TV3 Juara Lagu presenter. She’s small! Hehe :)

The next day, we flew off to Penang. Penang is more relaxing and peaceful compared to KL. It’s my kind of place really! The 1st night there, Mak Lang and Edib took us to the Pesta. It’s like a smaller version of Jerudong Park in Brunei so I didn’t try out most of the games there since they are available in Jerudong Park :) We just went up the ‘Eye on Sungai Nibong’, as Edib called it hehe!

The next day, he took us to Batu Phringgi. We wanted to pay for the one-night stay at Lone Pine Hotel for the next Friday. Next, Edib took us round George Town. I just love the sceneries there! The old buildings are just breathtaking! Then we went off to Bukit Jambul Mall. We did our shopping there, again! I finally got to buy ‘my size’ of tops! KL just doesn’t sell big sized stuff!!! The next day was Aidiladha. I tasted Mak Lang’s Mee Laksa and Nasi Impit. She’s a good cook! I love her cookings so much! Aidiladha in Penang was new to me. Something I would never forget :)

After visiting Zean’s families, Kak Hanis dropped us at Queensbay Mall in George Town. The next day, we checked-in at Lone Pine Hotel. The place is beautiful!!! We got to know a Singaporean couple and we ‘conquered’ the banana boat! It was an amazing ride!!! :) It was all about speed, screaming and screaming in the breeze!!! Back on the beach, we took lots of pictures up till sunset! That night, we had dinner on the beach, having seafood. Lovely! What’s more, it was full moon that night. We stayed on the beach talking up till 1am then off to a nearest coffee shop to have a drink till 2am. It was so relaxing!

The next morning we were late for breakfast. Edib joined us that morning and we had coffee with some new friends we met at the hotel. It was nice knowing people when we’re traveling :) From Lone Pine, Zean had her shopping, again, at Metrojaya then Bukit Jambul. After that, we picked up Mak Lang and off we went to Kedah. We went crossed the Penang Bridge. We visited Zean’s families in Kedah and went back to Penang that night, using the ferry!! It was awesome!!! :) We reached home at 12 mid night but we went out again heading to Slippery Senorita. Hmm… It was okay. I prefer Bed in KK more. The songs and live band singers in Bed were better than those of Slippery Senorita's. We reached home at 3am.

The next day, we had to catch our plane back to KL. Kak Munirah and her hubby took us to dinner outside and walked around the garden paths to KLCC, taking more pictures :) We went in 15 minutes before it closed so we didn’t get to buy anything. We went home after that. The next day, we caught our plane to Brunei. Surprisingly, Mak Lang and Edib, who bid us farewell at Penang Airport the previous day, were there at KL Airport to send us off! They had to ride a 5 hour bus ride from Penang straight to KL, to surprise us!! Mak Lang even hid among the trolleys hehehe! They are very sweet!

My trip this time is sure a memorable one! Thanks to Mak Lang and families! I love you all! :)

Me, Myself and I

Hey there! This would be my first post. You might have got some clues about who I am by now, if you read my profile. Here's more about me! I am a simple girl who enjoys peace and silence. Nature and beauty. But once in a while, I'd enjoy the crowd and noise as I am loud myself. And I have a very big family. I am the second of nine siblings so you can imagine how our house is like with that number! My friends say I am a funny girl. Some even called me 'gullible'. Well, I don't know much stuff so when I see strange or new things, I'd just ask what they are and others would end up laughing at me for my 'innocent' remarks. It's embarrasing sometimes that I feel like committing suicide haha!

Ok now, what else about me... Hmmm... I am an Aries. From what I know, Aries are hardworking, sensitive and good leaders. Well, I am proud to say that, they are true! I mean, I am successful, so far. I have my Degree, I have a happy family and supportive parents, I have a bestfriend who would die for me (I think she would coz I would for her!) and friends who care and accept me for who I am. Thanks to all of them! Mwaaahz!!!

Then again, I am sensitive to my surroundings. I can easily get touched by those who are suffering in life like children living in hunger, poverty and slavery, and women who are victimized in the patriarchal society. I am not saying that I am a feminist but I personally think that if all of us live in a world that is based on respect, none of us will suffer or live in agony. I respect those who respect me and I accept opinion and I am open to suggestions. I guess that is why I am reaching up the ladder of success each and every year of my career and I am thankful to God for making it easy on me, giving me those who work under me with their full support and asistance throughout. I also wish that our world will be as peaceful and blessed as our lives here in Brunei as we have been following and depending on the holy book of The Koran. Alhamdulillah.

Alright now, what do I wish to do? Well, I love dolphins. I have a dolphin watch, dolphin pillows (three altogether!), dolphin pendant, dolphin phone accessories, you name it! One day I hope to see them, play with them, swim with them! But I can't swim huhu :(

Hmmm... What else? What do I want in life... Of course, I want to be successful in my career. So far, Alhamdulillah, I am enjoying my job though sometimes I did regret it when pressure was at its peak. And I hope to finally step into the world of motherhood soon, after I found the right groom of course. What type of guy am I looking for you might ask. Well, I'd just be frank here. I would be blessed if 'my one' is just like my ex, Sharul. He is a lovely guy. Soft spoken. Never shouts at me, even when we argue. He listens when I complain and does what I say. He's a family type kind of guy and I respect him for that. You might wonder by now why we broke up. Allah knows best and He loves those who have the greatest patience. It is our destiny and it's all in His hands. Sharul and I remain good friends and we have moved on with our lives, Alhamdulillah.

Ok folks! I guess that's all about me. I did tell you I am a simple girl, didn't I? Well, I am 'that' simple and if you find me otherwise, I appreciate that greatly :) See you around! Bye for now!

I AM AN ARIES: The Daredevil (huh??)

Energetic (yea, in many ways)

Adventurous and spontaneous (definitely)

Confident and enthusiastic (yup!)

Fun (hmm ... I should ask my friends that!)

Loves a challenge (100%)

EXTREMELY impatient (well, I hate waiting. Does that count??)

Sometimes selfish (am I??)

Short fuse; easily angered (hell yeah!)

Lively, passionate and sharp wit (hmm ... No comment!)

Outgoing (for sure!)

Lose interest quickly - easily bored (most of the time)

Egostical (in some ways; my baby says "in MANY ways" LOL!!)

Courageous and assertive (I agree!)

Tends to be physical and athletic (hmm ... Naah!!)
