The time vs me

Everybody seems to feel the same lately: time flies. It's like next week is becoming tomorrow. I am on track but somehow, I need more time to do this and that. I am in the middle of marking exam papers. And with the new O'Level marking scheme, man! I guess time will let me find this new scheme familiar with so my marking will not be as slow.

I feel like writing more. There are lots of stories to share these past weeks but I don't seem to get time to finally sit down and write them all up in here. 3 more days to school holidays then maybe, I will start actively blogging again. I will be flying in to KK with my family this Thursday. Sharul can't make it because he has to work overtime til next week :( If only changing name to the ticket is free, I would bring his sister to replace him instead. At least, she could help me choosing the best gifts for the guests on our wedding.

I need to buy the "bunga telur": here it costs B$1.80 each! Bloody expensive!! I hope to get a cheaper one in KK. I couldn't find any in Bandung and Jakarta last time. "Bunga telur" does not exist in their tradition I heard. I remember buying "bunga telur" for my brother's wedding last year at Masjid India, KL for as cheap as B$0.50cent each! I know it's only a few cents difference but I just need to save as much penny for the big day. I don't wanna depend or hope for assistance from my families. I know they already have their own responsibilities..

Next on the list, accessories for our hantarans like flowers, pins, butterflies, etc. I just can't spend my money to buy them here! Mahal gila!!!! I bought many glittery and colourful ribbons in Jakara, also pearls, so that's done! What's next? Gifts for the guests during my "berbedak" ceremony. I hope I could get affordable price there in KK. Or else I'd have to buy them in Jakarta-Bandung again this coming September. I need to go there again to collect my wedding invitation cards and the gifts I bought last March. I hope it won't be excess baggage..

Right, I feel "lighter" now. This page has always been my therapy. Now back to marking *yawn*

The wedding hassles

It felt like a knock in the head some time last week when I realised how time's gone so fast. Next week is June then come July and the last thing I'd know, the next day will be January! This really got into me. At a wrong time actually coz I was stuck in a four day convention. The time I had left were late afternoons and so I couldn't do much. But whoever created phones and text messages are brilliant!! Also Facebook! In between rest and naps, I managed to find sources for my wedding.

So now, it's 80% done. I recently managed to get photographers for my wedding and related functions. The cost is within the budget alhamdulillah. In the coming days, I hope to get make up artists for my nikah, berbedak and bersanding ceremonies. So far, I only managed to get one for my ambil-ambilan ceremony. Last week was stressful coz the one make up artist I wanted has been booked :( But she will be available for my ambil-ambilan. The problem is, she doesn't have enough hair accessories, when I plan not to wear scarf that night *sigh* We'll see then!

Now Bangkok is not safe to go to so DF can't make his flight there to buy souvenirs for his guests. Today, we decided that we'll go down to Bandung again. InsyaAllah, we will be in Jakarta on 4th Eid. Louie will be joining us. I am going to Sabah next week for the same intention. DF can't make it coz he has to work overtime till mid June :( My parents will be coming along though.

Oh to update, my nikah will be on 1st January 2011 and the wedding will be on 9th January 2011. The nikah will mark the anniversary of our engagement and the number 9 represents the 9 years that we've been together by then. InsyaAllah :')

For the moment, I shall focus more on losing my weight. Thanks to the recent convention I attended: I've gained 3kg!! You see, when the brain is full on resources and ideas, the physical is just too exhausted to do anymore work but eat! I just couldn't resist the temptation due to stress *sigh*

I foresee my self a big fat ass bride!! *tsk tsk*

The moms day 2010

It was a surprise. Mom and Amit Yah got a Bonia bag each, everybody chipped in. We bought 'em last night. They loved it. Mom was all smiley coz it was the bag she'd been eyeing since it first arrived :D Amit Yah shed a tear: she only has boys and kind of unexpecting his sons would throw her the surprise moms day. Sweet! :) Here are pictures of that day :) Happy moms day!!
